  • Connected individuals and families with relevant resource for legal assistance; and social service organizations to help meet their needs.
  • Conducted Know Your Rights clinics to assist community members in meeting their needs related with immigration, discrimination, detention, and workplace safety.
  • Assisted community members to get cash back tax program of Citizens Committee for NYC.
  • Made healthcare referrals enabling immigrants to obtain health benefits regardless of their immigration status.
  • Helped educate restaurants workers and construction workers about their rights and responsibilities at workplaces, exploitation by employers and ensuring their health and safety in collaboration with the New York Committee of Occupational Safety (NYCOSH).
  • Offered educational workshops to create awareness about health, leadership development, immigration, and economic security.
  • Provided assistance in Sandy affected areas including food and cash assistance.
  • Partnered with urban farming projects at Brooklyn Grange to help promote sustainable living through food, education, and cultural events.

 Campaigns

  • Participated and organized in Immigration Reforms movement Women’s March in collaboration with South Asian Americans Leading Together and New York Immigration Coalition.
  • Participated in advocacy and organized campaigns to support DREAM Act through reaching out to elected officials at Capital Hill.
  • Participated and organized rallies and forums to support equal rights for LGBTQ communities.
  • Helped create awareness about COVID-19 and linking community members with appropriate resources through advocacy and organizing; coordinated with local funeral homes to bury  abandoned bodies of COVID victims.
  • Organized campaigns and rallies to abolish racism, end police brutality, defund police and justice for George Floyd.
