Today, Coney Island Avenue Communities actively supports South Asian working class immigrants as they take ownership of their communities, emerge as stakeholders and plan for their future.  The leadership of Coney Island Avenue Communities recognizes that sustainable community development is not just about addressing the emergencies, but also the everyday issues that arise at home, work, in school and on the streets.  Our long term vision is to help build a society in which working class South Asians are self-sufficient and are treated with equality, tolerance and respect.
